About The Role
The LCRCA’s Investment and Delivery Directorate is seeking a
Senior Investment Manager to develop and invest in place & infrastructure projects.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for identifying investment projects that can best be supported through the introduction of commercial loan finance through the CA’s Chrysalis Fund, Urban Development Fund, and other loan and equity investment instruments.
This is an exciting opportunity to support LCRCA maximise the commerciality of the projects it supports, and in this post you will lead on proposals to also deploy a proportion of the CA’s devolved funding into Single Pot Revolving Investment Fund (SPRIF), an "evergreen" recyclable "fund of funds" that can continually be reinvested in projects.
- We’re Seeking Candidates With Experience Of
- assessing project proposals with a view to their. development/financing.
- providing and/or advising on investment into complex projects.
- identifying capital structures appropriate for a given project.
- conducting due diligence into a proposed project.
- negotiating legal terms for project development/investment.
Experience of publicly-funded property, regeneration and place making projects to ensure we maximise the impact of our devolved funding, generate new funding sources, and working with our private sector is also desirable.
We are a growing team of exceptional individuals in our Investment Team to develop strategic place & infrastructure projects and make investments in areas that have a real impact on our communities, such as town centre regeneration, economic infrastructure, culture and place making.
We work in partnership with our local authorities and wider stakeholders in the public, private and third sectors and social economy to use our devolved powers and funding to develop, fund and deliver projects, to achieve our vision for a fairer, stronger, cleaner city region where no one is left behind.

- Town centre regeneration programmes;
- Commercial property and innovation assets;
- Cultural and visitor economy assets;
- Working closely with our Transport Development colleagues on transport-led placemaking;
- Working closely with our Housing Development colleagues on residential-led placemaking.
An important component of the role will be prioritising investment opportunities and overseeing development of our next Pipeline of projects, working closely with our Transport and Housing specialist teams, our Policy leads, and our Evidence, Research & Intelligence teams.

As a Senior Investment Manager at LCRCA, you will have experience of advising on capital & revenue projects inception through structuring, execution and into delivery, working as part of a team and on your own initiative.
You will have the ability to influence and have impact with stakeholders, build strong relationships, and you will be confident in using your ideas and experience to shape policy and delivery.
