In support of these aspirations, the Finance Service is looking to grow their team by recruiting an inspired, innovative and driven Programme Accountant. This role will be key in supporting major projects which are being internally delivered. The role will provide a comprehensive and proactive financial management service offering commercial and financial insight on major programmes and investment for the Liverpool City Region, ensuring value for money. It will adapt through different stages of a project, from procurement to delivery of the programme. The role involves detailed and complex scenario modelling, owning and updating funding models, and ensuring key financial impacts are communicated and understood by colleagues for decision making. The role will act as a key liaison between the Finance Team and the wider organisation, linking in with Senior Managers and Project Leads in support of Major Programmes.
We are looking for a qualified accountant with significant experience of working at a senior level in a complex organisation in a project accounting or business partnering environment. You will be a team player used to working across finance and non-finance teams, and able to produce and analyse management information to support service delivery.
