Are you passionate about shaping the future of transport and making a real impact on communities? The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is looking for a Transport Development Officer to help scope, plan and deliver major transport projects and investments across the region. You'll play a key role in developing and delivering transport projects within our ambitious pipeline, working with partners, assessing proposals, securing funding, and supporting projects from concept through to approval for delivery.
This role sits in the Transport Development team within LCRCA's Place Directorate, which has responsibility for developing and investing in transport projects that are deliverable, affordable and value for money. Projects will include active travel, rail, bus and rapid transit, and place-based interventions.
Qualifications
- Experience in transport planning, infrastructure or public sector project development
- Ability to analyse data and turn it into clear, concise reports
- Strong stakeholder engagement and teamwork skills
- A proactive, detail‑oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Understanding of transport appraisal (e.g. Green Book/WebTAG) and wider transport and GIS tools is desirable
- Ability to manage and deliver on concurrent work streams
