We are looking for a highly motivated Housing Delivery Associate to join LCRCA’s Investment and Delivery Directorate. The post holder will lead on shaping the Combined Authority’s intervention to unlock appropriate housing delivery to create a housing offer to suit need, and to allow the City Region to flourish.
As a Housing Delivery Associate you will work with key stakeholders to develop housing projects from inception through to delivery using the Combined Authority’s funding streams and resources. The role requires experience and knowledge of the development and planning process, a sound grasp of financial viability and public sector funding. You will have proven stakeholder management skills and be as able to engage with local communities as you are to relay recommendations to senior representatives of the public and private sectors. You will understand the need for robust due diligence and be able to use your written and verbal skills to support projects through the CA’s governance procedures. This role provides an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of residents across the City Region and wider; in terms of the Government’s targets for new homes, but also in meeting local need and contributing to climate action and Net Zero targets.

You must also be aware of the housing development/delivery issues which are specific to the City Region. We are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate a commitment to driving housing delivery within the City Region and you must be adaptable, proactive and possess excellent communication skills.
Key Skills & Experience
- Substantial relevant professional experience, preferably in delivery or development of housing focussed projects
- Substantial experience of engaging with diverse project stakeholders in the context of delivering publicly funded housing projects
- Strong analytical skills and ability to handle large complex data sets
- Ability to manage internal/external stakeholder relationships whilst communicating complex data
- Self-starting and highly-motivated
- Conscientious, with attention to detail
Essential Criteria for Application
- Strong understanding of the Liverpool City Region housing market and its challenges.
- Demonstrable experience of stakeholder management, ideally within both public and private sectors, at a range of levels.
- Demonstrable experience of managing projects/workstreams, making evidence-based recommendations in a fast-paced environment with a proven ability to work to deadlines.
