About the Role
Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is looking for a Health and Safety Officer. Reporting to the Health, Safety and Occupational Health Lead, the Health and Safety Officer will be the key point of contact providing competent and professional health, safety and wellbeing advice across the Authority and delivering training to employees. The role requires the successful applicant to provide competent advice to management in a wide range of health and safety disciplines, supporting line management to ensure the health, safety and welfare of everyone. The officer will consistently monitor health, safety and wellbeing, providing suitable recommendations to improve these across the organisation. Due to the 24/7 critical safety working environment, the role requires flexibility and responsiveness to the needs of the business.
Essential Criteria / Qualifications
- Evidence of NEBOSH General Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience of supporting management to implement and deliver health, safety and wellbeing into the workplace.
- Willingness and ability to be flexible and responsive due to the 24/7/365 safety critical environment.
