About The Role
Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is driving forward the city region’s strategic ambition to be the most digitally connected in the UK, a key element of this is LCR Connect; our fibre network that spans the City Region. Working with internal and external stakeholders, a key element of the post holder’s role, will be to maximise the outcomes of LCR Connect. This will be achieved through exercising commercial management abilities, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with governance requirements. You will be expected to develop projects in other areas of the programme, including mobile connectivity and data centres. This requires the candidate to develop subject matter knowledge, apply project management skills and techniques, and work with stakeholders across the public sector, industry and academia.
About The Person
The successful candidate will have a technical aptitude and will bring strong project delivery and commercial management skills to ensure that projects are managed in accordance with governance structures and our project delivery framework. Ideally this experience will have been developed in a role grounded in the built environment, although not necessarily digital infrastructure. You will be expected to write concise reports at short notice, have well-developed quantitative analysis skills and deliver presentations to a range of stakeholders. You will be committed to developing your knowledge of digital infrastructure and to applying it for the benefit of the City Region’s residents, businesses and visitors.
Key Essential Criteria
- Demonstrable experience in project, operational and/or commercial management within the built environment, not necessarily gained in the digital infrastructure sector.
- Subject-matter knowledge of digital infrastructure, or a strong desire to develop expertise in this field.
- Proactive self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision and produce concise reports from multiple data sources to tight deadlines.
