About The Role

The Transport Contracts and Payments Manager plays a pivotal role in the work that we do, leading Key Account Managers and working alongside bus operators and partners collaboratively to deliver the best bus network and passenger experience. The holder of this post will lead our Key Account Manager Team and work with a variety of stakeholders including transport operators and other local authority colleagues, both internal and external, during a key time of transition for the LCR Bus industry, as we roll out Bus Franchised Contracts across the region.

About The Person

The successful candidate’s remit will include effective budget forecasting and monitoring, display strong governance and audit principles, contract procurement, evaluation, award and mobilisation, and robust contract and performance management. You will have experience in managing and using data systems, alongside a strong understanding of business continuity, organisational resilience, and risk management as these skills are central to the role. You will demonstrate integral leadership within this role.

  • Procurement: Handle contract tendering processes and manage changes to commercial or subsidised bus networks.
