Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of high-value commercial opportunities across the Liverpool City Region’s transport network.
  • Develop a new commercialisation strategy to maximise opportunities from assets including Out of Home (OOH) media, sponsorship, and major infrastructure projects.
  • Award and manage major OOH advertising contracts; oversee relationships with external agencies and delivery partners; ensure contracts are robust, compliant and deliver strong returns.
  • Identify and develop new income streams linked to major infrastructure projects, ancillary customer products, and wider Combined Authority assets.
  • Embedd commerciality into project work to support reinvestment of revenue in inclusive, accessible transport services and future major infrastructure projects.

About The Person

  • Commercially driven professional with hands-on approach and track record of delivering non-fare box revenue across transport or comparable networks.
  • Expertise in Out of Home (OOH) advertising, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships; ability to convert potential into measurable income.
  • Experience awarding and managing high-value advertising contracts; familiarity with procurement, legal frameworks and compliance.
  • Experience developing commercially viable asset portfolios—including digital-first propositions—and identifying new income streams linked to infrastructure projects and transport initiatives.
  • Ability to align commercial activity with passenger growth and fare box revenue, supporting broader transport and service delivery goals.
  • Collaborative, pragmatic, and capable of building credibility across departments and external stakeholders; committed to embedding commercial thinking and upholding values.
