As part of our drive towards a new Target Operating Model for procurement across the Authority we have introduced a new team that will be responsible for procurement related policy and also enabling procurement and contract performance. The role of Procurement Systems & Data Manager will support procurement performance across the Authority by analysing data, delivering intelligence and creating reports that help us to monitor and improve delivery. This is a real opportunity for somebody to join us and put their own ideas into how we develop those crucial themes as this team develops moving forward.

Whilst experience of working in a policy or performance related role would be great, above all else we are looking for high quality individuals with a desire to make a difference.

What will I be doing?

  • The Procurement Systems & Data Manager will partner with key procurement business partners to determine business needs and provide meaningful data to inform procurement decisions.

  • Within the role as a Procurement Systems & Data Manager you’ll assist in the development of innovative procurement and category management strategies, policies and process.

  • The Procurement Systems & Data Manager will identify and utilise the most appropriate analytical tools, techniques and systems to analyse and interpret a wide range of supplier and organisational information.

  • As the Procurement Systems & Data Manager you will be responsible for developing reports, forecasts and advice to inform and support procurement planning and decision making.

  • As part of your role as a Procurement Systems & Data Manager you will develop, assess and provide reports for the effective management of contract and supplier performance and to report on the benefits being delivered., Liverpool City Council is committed to fostering a workforce representative of the communities we serve.
