We are proud of our world-famous thriving city with its rich culture, as well as affordable housing, good schools, beautiful green spaces – there’s really something for everyone!

The role:

The programme will provide funding over a ten-year period to support community-led regeneration in the neighbourhood helping to strengthen communities, improve local environments and enable residents to shape the future of their area.

What You Will Do:

  • Support the Pride in Place Board to develop and deliver its ten-year vision and action plan
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with residents, community organisations, elected members, MPs and partner agencies
  • Facilitate community engagement to ensure local priorities inform programme delivery
  • Manage a portfolio of projects, monitoring performance, risks, budgets and outcomes
  • Prepare reports, business cases and performance updates for Boards and stakeholders
  • Foster collaboration across public, private, voluntary and community sectors
  • Support innovative approaches to neighbourhood improvement and regeneration

About You:

  • Strong stakeholder management and partnership-building skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Experience managing budgets and delivering projects to agreed objectives and timescales
  • Ability to work effectively in complex partnership environments and manage competing priorities
  • You will be politically aware, highly organised and committed to delivering positive outcomes for Everton East.

Please note this is a Politically Restricted Post.

Our offer to you:

  • At least 31 days holiday, plus bank holidays rising to 35 after 5 years’ service (pro rata if part time) - option to purchase further days
  • Agile working (role dependent) - a “Flexibility First” approach to agile working, where flexibility is the norm rather than the exception

  • Progression - opportunities and training through a wide range of high quality learning
  • Health and Wellbeing - offer including Employee Assistance Programme
  • Cycle to Work and Travel Pass Schemes
  • Drive Time – a salary sacrifice car lease scheme
