The role: The Technical Support Officer is a fixed term contract post initially for 6 months to work on data capture and data cleansing. It will be working across a number of our in house ICT systems and will require analysing, cleansing and interpreting data and a fair amount of data capture. In the role of Technical Support Officer you will be expected to provide technical and administrative support within the Service, in a flexible manner ensuring that an effective, efficient and customer focussed service is delivered within required timescales and to provide support in relation to any of the functions undertaken by the Service to enable specific and overall objectives of the team to be achieved.
Your demonstrable knowledge as a Technical Support Officer includes competencies associated with NVQ Level 3 in Administration/ Business Studies and proven experience of working in a busy office. The role is in the Planning and Building Control Service and is part of a highly skilled, technical support team and the role is pivotal in validating and processing all planning and building control applications, land charge enquiries and providing support across the whole service. It is customer focussed with the emphasis on providing a modern, business friendly planning service (Please note this is not a job in ICT). This role is fixed term for the purpose of limited specialist project work and will end 6 months after your start date.
