  • You will be skilled and experienced within Children's Services having worked within Child Protection, Child in Need court and care proceedings. You will be social work qualified and hold current Social Work England registration

  • You will have a robust understanding of all Children's Safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance and processes, with a proven record of working across all disciplines, including mental health, drug services and domestic abuse.

  • You will work directly with parents, undertaking drug and alcohol screening completing multi-disciplinary assessments and intervention planning with the specialist team. You will regularly attend FDAC court hearings and liaise with judges

  • The role will include a strong focus on a relationship approach and complex family circumstances, including addiction and domestic abuse and effective partnership working. This is a unique chance to develop your skills in this specialist area

This role is fixed term for the purpose of maternity leave and will end 31 August 2027. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service and up to date registration with Social Work England as a qualified Social Worker.
