The role:

As a SEND Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for bringing together data modelling and analysing information submitted in the Liverpool SEND Reform Plans, while looking ahead to how financial modelling can evolve as reforms are implemented and being involved in the SEND finance transformation.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Group Finance Manager for assisting in the financial oversight of the SEND reform plan.
  • Evaluate financial and non-financial data, build forecasting models, and create actionable reports.
  • Quarterly reporting to Department for Education (DfE) variance analysis, budgeting, monitoring progress and evaluating the financial impact of the interventions over time.
  • Collaborate with the SEND team, Data team and work with schools to analyse their SEND cohort funding and expenditure.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on financial matters around SEND reforms.
  • Collaborate with the wider finance team to ensure accurate and efficient financial forecast using data, budgeting and month-end.
  • Review SEND funding mechanisms for Liverpool.

This role is fixed term for 3 years.
