We are recruiting two Public Health Programme Support Officers to join our Public Health Team at Liverpool City Council. These officers will support the provision of high‑quality, comprehensive, timely, and efficient administrative and programme support for the Public Health team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and programme support to Public Health staff.
  • Support specific projects and programmes within public health and across health protection, health improvement, healthcare public health, wider determinants of health, and business support.
  • Coordinate the public health forward plan, including setting timescales for reports and ensuring audit requirements are met.
  • Organise a wide range of Public Health events, including meetings, conferences and other relevant events.

Qualifications

  • Experience in programme support within local authority settings.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple public health areas and support a range of initiatives.
