Operative

Join our team as an Operative to support the effective delivery of Liverpool's frontline waste services such as Domestic, Recycling and Food Waste.

The role involves carrying out safe, timely and efficient waste collections using a full range of manual and mechanical methods of operation, working closely with colleagues to ensure high service standards are maintained across the city.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out safe, timely and efficient waste collections.
  • Present items for collection to the vehicle using appropriate tools and safe manual handling methods.
  • Safely operate the vehicle mechanism for loading and emptying and return waste receptacles to place of origin once emptied.
  • Carry out multiple collections each day ensuring collections are completed in line with targets.
  • Work in an outdoor environment all year round.
  • Perform repetitive tasks and walk for long periods of time.
