Are you passionate about driving change and improving financial performance across a dynamic organisation? Liverpool City Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Project Manager to support the Finance and Resources Directorate in delivering its ambitious goals. This is a pivotal role where you'll manage a number of Finance Improvement projects from inception through to closure on strategic initiatives that enhance service delivery and value for money.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape and define finance improvement projects and planning at the level appropriate to the complexity of the project
  • Successfully deliver several diverse finance improvement projects
  • Proactively identify and overcome obstacles, remove barriers to progress, and escalate risks
  • Drive the successful adoption of the new processes, systems, and ways of working by supporting business readiness, engaging stakeholders, and promoting the benefits of change
  • Manage resources and coordinate procurement of goods and services related to the projects you lead on
  • Stakeholder management, establishing and maintaining strong working relationships internally and externally to drive successful outcomes
  • Pro-actively communicate with clarity, gaining buy-in and creating positive impacts
