The Liverpool Safeguarding Children’s Partnership Manager is a qualified and registered social worker with experience as an operational safeguarding manager. The role involves managing the partnership’s strategic business planning process and overseeing the operational management of the LSCP Strategic Board and its sub‑groups. The post holder will write reports, procedures and guidance, provide public information, advise on safeguarding policy issues and make recommendations regarding the partnership’s budget, duties, priorities and future direction. The role also requires collating and analysing safeguarding data, quality‑assuring and performance‑managing the team producing reports around rapid reviews, local safeguarding practice reviews, and assisting the serious case review process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the partnership’s strategic business planning process.
- Oversee operational management of the LSCP Strategic Board and sub‑groups.
- Assist board Chairs in efficiently writing reports, procedures, guidance and providing timely public information.
- Advise LSCP members on safeguarding policy issues and recommend decisions on the partnership’s budget, duties, priorities and future direction.
- Collate and analyse safeguarding data, quality‑assure and performance‑manage teams producing rapid review and local safeguarding practice review reports.
- Assist the serious case review process.
- Comply with Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service and maintain current registration with Social Work England.
Qualifications
- Qualified and registered social worker.
- Experienced operational safeguarding manager.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding policy, local safeguarding practice reviews and serious case reviews.
- Excellent written communication skills for report, procedure and guidance development.
- Ability to analyse data and produce performance‑management reports.
