We are looking to recruit two Driver Operatives within our Neighbourhood & Housing Directorate supporting cleansing operations in alleyways, streets, green areas and derelict sites. In this role you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of manual and mechanical streetcare duties to maintain and continuously improve the image of the council across Liverpool.
Use vibrating equipment such as strimmers, blowers, hedgecutters, oscillators and similar equipment. Work independently or as part of a team, driving and operating various vehicles and completing route‑based tasks to support both planned and reactive operations across the city. Use handheld devices to record activities, complete all required documentation and follow health and safety procedures. Represent the Council positively when dealing with the public and partner services.
Perform physically demanding outdoor work all year round, including:
- Litter picking
- Sweeping
- Brushing
- Litter bin servicing
- Fly‑tipping removal
- Leaf clearance
- Weed management
- Event cleansing
Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements associated with street cleansing operations.
- Ability to work a 4 on 4 off pattern, 7:00 to 5:30pm.
Working Pattern & Compensation
This role follows a 4 on 4 off working pattern from 7:00 to 5:30pm. It includes an additional weekend allowance of £6014.15 on top of the salary quoted.
