The role: In order to be a Deputy Team Manager, you will need to be a qualified, SWE actively registered and experienced Children’s Social Worker. In the role as Deputy Team Manager, you will be responsible to support in the case management and care planning of all children and young people within our Assessment Children’s Service, ensuring safe planning and intervention. As Deputy Team Manager, you will embed a high-performance high-quality culture by supporting the team with the Team Manager to continually develop their social work practice skills and achieve best practice through continuous improvement, so they can achieve the best outcomes possible for those we care for. The Deputy Team Manager will support in the recruitment, induction, supervision and training of the team, you’ll champion your team’s personal and professional growth and health and wellbeing, ensuring an inclusive approach. You will actively engage in risk management policies, procedures and practice and to advise the Team Manager of resource shortfalls and recommend improved methods of working where appropriate. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service and up to date registration with Social Work England as a qualified Social Worker.
