Roles and Responsibilities:
- Run a new Edge of Care Children’s Home providing short breaks and outreach support to children and their families where there is a risk of family breakdown.
- Take responsibility for staff development, providing supervision, guidance and management oversight around key working and delivery of bespoke work to ensure children’s needs are met, that they are supported to make good progress, and can develop emotionally within a safe and stable environment.
- Support the team manager to monitor team performance through audits and performance management processes.
- Hold financial responsibilities alongside the manager and adhere to the Financial Regulations of the City Council.
- At times deputise for the team manager to ensure the smooth running of the service and that the setting operates within regulatory frameworks and statutory guidance.
- Work within specific policies and procedures and with partner agencies to safeguard children and young people.
