The role:

  • Plan, organise and carry out external inspections and assessments of a caseload as part of a busy regulatory/statutory service in line with service objectives, policy and processes.
  • Undertake external inspections and visits for evidence gathering and checking compliance with formal legal notices.
  • Prepare letters/correspondence to property owners and other relevant persons relating to vacant properties.
  • Identify external housing related faults on vacant properties and escape as appropriate for further investigation.
  • Represent the service at meetings and carry out investigations and inspections out of normal office hours.
  • This role is fixed term for the purpose of completing the Regulatory Compliance Officer Level 4 Apprenticeship and will end 24 months after you start with us.
