Responsibilities
- The role of Markets Operative will provide excellent customer service to all users of the market service and ensuring any queries are dealt with in a professional and effective manner.
- Driving of Liverpool City Council vehicles up to and including 7.5 tonne (C1 licence required).
- Completion of necessary paperwork and the safe compliant use of the vehicle.
- Provide a supporting role across all Liverpool City Council markets service (Liverpool Markets) sites and events.
- Driving, loading and unloading market vehicles, alongside the build and takedown of market stalls/cabins.
- Ensure the market site is clean at all times, waste removed and high level of customer service is offered at all times.
- Safe loading and unloading of Liverpool markets equipment onto vehicles alongside set up and take down of market stalls/cabins and equipment on arrival at market sites indoor and outdoor.
- High-quality cleaning of designated areas across market sites and event sites, alongside the removal of waste in line with Liverpool City Council procedures and COSHH guidelines.
- Use of forklift truck when required in line with required standards and compliance.
