The successful candidate will join the Terminal Engineering team in a multi-skilled role and will be required to:
- Carry out planned, remedial, and reactive maintenance work on critical systems across the estate.
- Liaise with the Engineering Team Leader to ensure stock control and administrative duties are completed to departmental standards.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across the business as required.
- Comply and cooperate with the Company's Safety Management System and all relevant policies and procedures.
- Work under the direction of a Shift Engineering Team Leader on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern consisting of 12-hour shifts (2 days followed by 2 nights), with occasional requirement for overtime.
Typical systems include: Life safety systems, including fire alarms.
Applicants must hold a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Operations Engineering and demonstrate relevant experience in a maintenance engineering role. The successful candidate must also hold C&G 2365 in Electrotechnical craft or equivalent qualification. The successful candidate will have experience in conveyor systems, barrier and gate control, PLC, plumbing and water systems. Knowledge in HVAC systems is desirable. We are also looking for candidates who have a good level of computer literacy, excellent team working skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a 24/7 environment. The ideal candidate will also have prior experience in a customer service focussed engineering role.
Salary: £41,280 (increasing to £45,408 at full competence)
