Liverpool Airport Services Limited is looking to recruit Cleaning Operatives on a full-time permanent basis, working as part of a team to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the airport sites are maintained to our exceptionally high standards at all times. You will be responsible for ensuring cleaning standards are consistently met. Working to a cleaning schedule and planned regime, you will be part of the cleaning programme for the airport ensuring the safety of our passengers and our colleagues on site.
Responsibilities
- Work across airport sites, covering public terminal areas, airfield offices, outdoor car parks, various retail units and off-site offices.
- Clean spillages and leaks, empty bins, clean glass and chrome, snow gritting, dusting, and fill up consumables.
- Assist with stock deliveries, report faults internally, collect baggage trolleys, clean toilets and floors using specialised equipment.
- Carry out deep cleaning of all areas at various levels according to periodic schedules.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and perform physically demanding tasks as required.
Working pattern
The working pattern is 42 hours per week, with 4 shifts on/4 shifts off – 2 days/2 nights, 07:00–19:00 / 19:00–07:00.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to remain calm and positive under pressure.
- Due to a 24-hour operation, be able to work long and varied shifts.
- Provide a 5-year checkable work history, undergo a basic criminal record check, and have a suitable valid form of ID (driving licence or passport).
- Previous experience in a busy, customer-focused site is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
