LiveRamp is seeking a commercial contract attorney to join the Legal & Data Ethics team based in London. The Commercial Counsel will report into the VP, Legal & Data Ethics, International. The role will interface with business teams to negotiate and execute on a wide range of commercial and strategic initiatives requiring creative and proactive legal guidance and work as part of the EU Legal and Data Ethics team to enable business innovation in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. A strong affinity for Ad tech and Data protection is key for this role.
In this role, the Commercial Counsel will have the opportunity to support our business team and interact with our internal teams, vendors and customers and the overall industry. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review, draft, and negotiate sales and supply side contracts, including customer (digital advertiser; agency), vendor (data licensing) agreements, with the ability to capture complex legal and business concepts in a clear, concise, and easy-to-understand manner. This will primarily support the UK and Continental Europe but also the APAC, LATAM and MENA markets.
- Work closely with other privacy and legal professionals within the company.
- Work with the Legal & Data Ethics department to support the Company's general corporate and compliance legal activities.
- Monitor and self-study on case law, legislation and other legal guidance relevant to AdTech and MarTech industries.
REQUIREMENTS
- Qualified solicitor - 3 to 5 years experience.
- General commercial experience gained within both a law firm and in-house, ideally with some international experience.
- Knowledge of global data protection, AI and commercial laws and practices globally.
- Strong interest in the AdTech and MarTech industry and good knowledge of Internet, software technologies or data as well as privacy/data protection regulations is essential.
- Sound judgment, “do-er” work ethic, problem solving and organization skills, practicality, flexibility to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels under pressure in a rapidly changing environment and to identify, prioritize and resolve issues quickly, diplomatically, and effectively.
