The Data Stewardship team at LiveRamp is a core team responsible for building and maintaining pipelines to process Data Subject Requests (DSRs) in compliance with data privacy regulations. The team focuses on delivering resilient, scalable systems through continuous improvement centered on technical excellence, strong processes, and a people-first culture. As a Software Engineer on this team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our cutting-edge technology solutions and shape the future of data connectivity.

LiveRamp is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer (expertise in Golang is preferable), unit testing, CI/CD, and Kubernetes, to join our dynamic engineering team.

In this role, you demonstrate full ownership of tasks to execute technical initiatives and drive platform improvements. You will be responsible for building and maintaining robust pipelines to efficiently process Data Subject Requests (DSRs) in compliance with data privacy regulations.

This role requires two days a week attendance at our office in Holborn.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain robust pipelines to efficiently process Data Subject Requests (DSRs) in compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality features using Golang while adhering to industry best practices. Write clean, efficient, and testable code.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Product, Quality, Infra) to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Proactively propose optimisation and refactoring to improve the existing code base.
  • Review peers' code to ensure best coding practices are applied and provide feedback on design reviews and Kick-offs within the team.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Utilise Kubernetes to deploy and manage containerised applications and microservices.
  • Take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.
  • Demonstrate ability to find and resolve problems as they arise and diagnose root causes.
  • Participate in the team’s on-call rotation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Software Development Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Golang and/or any backend programming language, including a solid understanding of language internals and best practices.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD).
  • Knowledge of system operations in *nix.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Git, or similar.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and experience with deploying and managing containerised applications.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and agile practices.
  • Knowledge and experience of a Cloud Services Platform (i.e. GCP, AWS, etc).
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bonus: Experience with Temporal or similar workflow orchestration systems and/or SingleStore database.

Working Environment:
