Our client has a great circle of friends nearby and enjoys maintaining her social life. She experiences periods of anxiety and depression and benefits from a calm carer who can provide reassurance, encouragement and companionship without taking away her independence.
About the Client
- Friendly and sociable

The Role
You’ll provide:
- Companionship and meaningful conversation
- Reassurance and emotional support
- Encouragement to remain active and independent
- Gentle reminders to use her walking stick or rollator to reduce falls risk
- Driving to friends’ homes and social activities
- General household support
- Support to maintain confidence and familiar routines
- A calm and reassuring presence during periods of anxiety or low mood
Your Car Is Important
A full driving licence and your own car are essential. Helping the client remain connected to her friends and social life is an important part of this placement, so you’ll need to be happy driving her to and from visits and activities.
Your Accommodation & Breaks
You’ll have:
- Comfortable upstairs bedroom
- Your own private bathroom
- Driveway parking
- Genuine breaks – the client is happy and safe to remain alone while you take them
The client independently uses the bathroom if she wakes during the night.
