MACC Care is looking for an experienced, passionate and engaging Health & Social Care Trainer to join our Learning & Development Team.

As our Health & Social Care Trainer, you'll play a vital role in developing and supporting our colleagues to deliver outstanding, person-centred care. Working across our care homes, you'll deliver a range of mandatory and specialist training programmes, helping colleagues build the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to provide safe, compassionate and high-quality care.

About the Role

Health & Social Care Trainer

Location: Regional role across care homes

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

As our Health & Social Care Trainer, you will:

  • Deliver engaging face-to-face and virtual training sessions across our care homes.
  • Facilitate company inductions for new colleagues, ensuring a positive introduction to MACC Care.
  • Deliver mandatory and specialist training, including:
  • Moving & Handling
  • Basic Life Support
  • Fire Safety
  • Safeguarding
  • Infection Prevention & Control
  • Health & Safety
  • Support competency assessments, practical observations and ongoing staff development.
  • Develop, review and update training materials to ensure they remain engaging, relevant and compliant.
  • Monitor learner engagement, attendance and training compliance.
  • Work closely with Home Managers and operational teams to identify learning needs and support continuous improvement.
  • Promote best practice and help colleagues build confidence in delivering exceptional resident care.
  • Maintain accurate training records and contribute to regulatory compliance.
  • Travel across our homes to deliver training, with occasional overnight stays where required.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds a recognised teaching, training or assessing qualification, such as AET, PTLLS, CTTLS or an equivalent qualification.
  • Has previous experience delivering training within the Health & Social Care sector.
  • Has excellent knowledge of adult learning principles and effective training techniques.
  • Is confident delivering practical, hands-on care training.
  • Has exceptional presentation, communication and facilitation skills.
  • Is organised and able to manage multiple training programmes and priorities.
  • Has strong IT skills and experience using Microsoft Office and digital learning platforms.
  • Is passionate about developing others and promoting high standards of care.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle.
  • Is willing to travel regularly across our care homes and stay overnight when required.
