For the past 10 years, Live Wire has worked across Formula 1, supplying technology to the major teams and F1 Management. Our work varies from constructing viewer experiences in teams’ hospitality suites, paddock, garages and factories elevating each of the 24 races a year.
Live Wire is seeking a Production Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of high-profile live events and technical installations. This role requires close collaboration with project management, finance, operations, and clients to ensure seamless AV production while maintaining the highest on-site standards.
Both the project and production management teams are responsible for developing and managing budgets, covering equipment, crew, and rechargeable costs. Effective planning and detailed progress documentation are essential to anticipate potential delays. Clear communication with clients is key, ensuring they are informed of any challenges while implementing actionable solutions to minimize additional costs.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Plan, manage, and execute high-profile live events, ensuring seamless AV delivery in collaboration with top-tier talent and industry professionals.
- Develop comprehensive production schedules, equipment lists, and team briefs, ensuring all technical and logistical aspects are accounted for.
- Conduct post-event debriefs with clients, outlining key takeaways, action points, and opportunities for improvement.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, fostering new business opportunities and long-term partnerships.
- Manage budgets effectively, including equipment, crew, and additional costs, while ensuring financial accountability.
- Communicate effectively across teams, both on-site and remotely, ensuring smooth coordination between event locations and the UK office.
- Control budgets and schedules, managing equipment, crew and additional costs while keeping multiple projects on track under pressure.
- Apply technical fluency with vector-based drawings/CAD, CRM systems, and Microsoft/Google productivity suites.
- Minimum 5-6 years of experience in live event production, including leadership roles in high-pressure environments.
- Proven technical expertise in lighting, sound, or AV, with the ability to oversee and manage all aspects of a project.
- Strong understanding of temporary structures, power distribution, and network/data infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety, CDM, and site logistics.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges and implement solutions efficiently.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a proactive approach to team management and client engagement.
