Location: Banbury / Travelling
For the past 10 years, Live Wire has worked across Formula 1, supplying technology to major teams and F1 Management. Our work involves enhancing viewer experiences in hospitality suites, paddocks, garages, and factories, delivering cutting-edge solutions across all 24 races annually. We integrate pioneering technology into everything we do, working closely with suppliers to push the boundaries of innovation. Beyond F1, Live Wire provides AV technology for a wide range of events, including festivals, concerts, conferences, theatre, and dance.
As the in-house 3D Visualiser (Unreal Engine Specialist), you will play a key role in bringing concepts to life through real-time rendering, interactive experiences, and high-fidelity visualisations. Your primary responsibility will be to develop immersive 3D environments, animations, and fly-throughs that engage stakeholders and showcase new concepts. The role requires a fast, adaptable individual who can work efficiently while maintaining high-quality output for both internal and client-facing projects.
A strong ability to translate 2D drawings, CAD plans, and elevations into interactive 3D models is essential. Unreal Engine will be your primary tool for real-time rendering, VR integration, and interactive presentations. Additionally, an understanding of asset optimization, lighting, materials, and post-processing is crucial. Beyond visualization, you will be responsible for maintaining brand consistency across all projects, ensuring all assets align with Live Wire’s guidelines and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Creating high-quality photo-realistic renders, animations, and interactive 3D environments using Unreal Engine
- Developing VR-ready experiences for client demonstrations and immersive design reviews
- Building hospitality and event spaces in Unreal Engine, including lighting, texturing, and scene optimization
- Producing video fly-throughs and real-time walkthroughs for stakeholder presentations
- Designing 2D and 3D assets for use in visual packs, marketing materials, and interactive applications
- Managing and maintaining a library of 3D assets, textures, and materials
- Overseeing hardware and software updates related to Unreal Engine and visualization workflows
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to refine concepts and deliver cutting-edge solutions
- Attending site visits to capture reference material and ensure accurate 3D representation
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a 3D Visualiser role within the event, architectural, or retail sector
- Strong portfolio showcasing real-time rendering, interactive environments, and high-quality Unreal Engine work
- Excellent knowledge of Unreal Engine, including Blueprints, lighting, materials, and optimization techniques
- Experience with VR applications and setup (Meta Quest, HTC Vive, Varjo, etc.)
- Skilled in environment and asset creation, with an eye for detail in lighting, textures, and post-processing
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
- Experience with 3D modeling software (Blender, 3ds Max, or Maya) for asset creation and import into Unreal Engine
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for texture creation and post-production
- Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Bonus Skills:
- Experience in Niagara VFX, Lumen, and Nanite workflows
- Knowledge of substance materials and procedural texture generation
- Familiarity with CAD/BIM software for architectural visualization
