Our client is a leading event build company who create high-quality sets and environments, tailored to the clients brief with innovation at the heart of what they do. THE ROLE
As a Senior CAD Draughtsperson / Designer, you will be based within a lively design office overlooking a bustling workshop and be responsible for working to brief, bringing the clients design concepts to life.
As part of your role you will be consulting on construction methods, programming componentry for CNC machining, and creating construction and assembly drawing packs for on-site carpenters to build from.
Key responsibilities include :
- Interrogating client briefs
- Managing your own projects from start to finish
- Overseeing the team to ensure deadlines are met
- The production of detailed project designs
- Specification of suitable build methods and techniques
- A demonstrable knowledge of carpentry construction methods and joinery
- Cross-departmental communication
- Training and development of junior team members
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will come from a similar industry background, with extensive experience in AutoCAD and CNC drawing skills. You must be competent in liaising with production and build departments, and experience from an events, exhibition or theatre design background is essential.
