The Role
Due to continued growth, they are now looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their expanding team. This role covers every element of commercial growth, from identifying fresh business opportunities to pitching to key decision-makers and bringing prestigious new clients on board. This is a broad and rewarding position where the Business Development Manager will use all of their sales, presentation, and relationship-building expertise, including:
- Working closely with management to ensure sales strategies align with corporate marketing.
- Identifying lucrative new business opportunities and mapping out key decision-makers.
- Actively developing and closing business from fresh client accounts.
- Generating, qualifying, and nurturing a pipeline of new leads.
- Collaborating with internal technical and production teams to deliver cohesive proposals.
- Taking detailed client briefs and pitching compelling production solutions.
- Keeping up to date with live event industry trends and reporting insights back to the business.
The Candidate
Candidates should ideally be working in a similar commercial or sales role as a Business Development Manager within an AV hire, live event production, or experiential agency environment. A solid understanding of working directly with event agencies and corporate end-clients is essential, alongside a proven track record of driving new business wins. Given the highly technical nature of the production inventory, a strong foundational understanding of audio-visual technologies is required. Most importantly, we are looking for an ambitious relationship-builder who can naturally identify cross-selling opportunities and elevate their career to the next level.
