Are you an experienced relationship-led commercial professional looking to step into a purpose-driven environment where partnerships are built on quality, credibility and long-term value? This Sponsorship Manager opportunity offers the chance to shape a sponsorship function from the ground up within a highly regarded professional body supporting senior finance and investment professionals across the UK.
This organisation is a well-established, not-for-profit professional membership body representing thousands of UK-based finance and investment specialists. With a strong emphasis on ethics, education and professional standards, they deliver a broad programme of conferences, seminars, training initiatives and member engagement events throughout the year.
Operating with a collaborative and intellectually driven culture, this is an environment where a Sponsorship Manager can focus on meaningful partnerships, quality content and long-term relationships rather than aggressive sales targets. The team is values-led, supportive and committed to diversity and inclusion, with flexible working policies and a genuine emphasis on balance and wellbeing.
This is a brand-new position sitting within the marketing and events function, created to develop and grow sponsorship and partnership revenue in a considered and strategic way. The Sponsorship Manager will work closely with senior stakeholders, the events team and external partners to build co-created content programmes and commercially sustainable relationships.
Duties as Sponsorship Manager will include:
- Researching and identifying aligned corporate partners within financial and professional services
- Developing tailored sponsorship proposals and partnership packages
- Managing outreach, introductory calls and relationship development
- Working with internal teams to integrate sponsors into conferences, forums and learning events
- Overseeing sponsor deliverables including branding, speaking opportunities and digital promotion
- Producing post-event impact reports and ROI summaries
- Maintaining accurate pipeline and revenue tracking
- Supporting wider commercial initiatives and new partnership opportunities
To be considered for this Sponsorship Manager role, you will ideally have experience within a professional association, membership body or financial / professional services environment. You will be confident building relationships with senior stakeholders, commercially aware but not overly sales-driven, and comfortable operating in a collaborative, content-led setting.
In return, you'll join a mission-driven organisation offering hybrid working (typically two days in the office), exposure to influential industry leaders, the opportunity to build a function from scratch and a role that will have visible impact and strong long-term CV value. This Sponsorship Manager position is offered initially as a 12-month contract with strong potential for extension.
We encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds, embracing diversity across all intersecting dimensions, including ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, well-being, abilities, and neurodiversity. We are dedicated to ensuring a supportive and accessible recruitment process. If you require any adjustments or accommodations for any reason, please do not hesitate to let us know.
