THE COMPANY
This iconic London based venue hosts a range of ever-growing, eclectic, large scale events such as exhibitions, festivals, live sporting events, concerts, theatre shows and outdoor experiences. Established nearly years, they have a broad base of interesting clients from both agencies and end users. The multi‐purpose venue has both indoor and outdoor space, offering a versatile backdrop for a wide range of business, as well as having an exciting in‐house event programme!
THE ROLE
To manage all aspects of the estates upkeep, repairs, and restoration projects. Ensure urgent maintenance requests are handled within agreed timeframes. Work with the facilities coordinator, chief engineer, and building surveyor to complete projects on time and to a high standard. You will also be responsible for:
- Oversee major projects carried out by the Facilities Team and external contractors.
- Monitor the operating budget for maintenance and repairs.
- Manage all aspects of the estates upkeep, repairs, and restoration projects.
- Develop efficient processes and communication systems within the Facilities Team and wider organisation.
- To ensure that the physical estate operates effectively, safely, and in compliance with regulations.
- Manage external contractors.
- Maintain a strong focus on health and safety awareness within the team.
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will hold a NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent Health and Safety qualification and have experience working in a similar role covering both hard and soft services. They should have a proven track record of working in busy and complex operational environments. Additionally, it is desirable for candidates to have a formal Engineering qualification at HND level or above, along with relevant professional qualifications such as CIBSE, CIOB, or RICS. Experience in leading and managing a team, as well as managing scheduled building maintenance including Mechanical and Engineering services, is also highly preferred.
