This is a full-service, creative technical production company based in Berkshire. They are currently in an exciting phase of growth and expansion. They have recently moved into a brand-new warehouse, invested heavily in new equipment, and are building our in-house projects team across all disciplines.

THR ROLE
We are seeking a Junior Technical Project Manager to take ownership of technical delivery for large and complex productions, both for one-off events and ongoing key accounts. This is a varied role involving office, warehouse, and on-site work, with the flexibility for occasional home-working where appropriate.
As a Junior Technical Project Manager, you will lead on-site teams, manage client communications, and specify equipment across all technical disciplines. You’ll handle budgets, source equipment, and create detailed technical documentation, ensuring seamless event delivery.
The position requires someone confident in managing their own workload, proactive in solving problems, and comfortable working in both collaborative and independent settings. You’ll be a visible and professional point of contact for clients and suppliers while maintaining high technical standards. A passion for live events and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and longer hours when required is essential. This role operates on a self-managed ‘time off in lieu’ system, aligned with your event calendar.
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal Junior Technical Project Manager will have:
- Strong technical knowledge across sound, lighting, video, rigging, and staging
- At least 5 years’ events industry experience, including team and project management
- Proven experience in both B2B and B2C communications
- Local industry knowledge and a network of freelance and sub-hire contacts
- CAD skills for producing technical drawings
- The ability to remain calm and detail-focused under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a drive to exceed client expectations
- Full UK Driving Licence and physical fitness for manual handling tasks
Preferred extras include BS7909 certification, Forklift/Telehandler/IPAF licences, PLASA NRC Level 2/3, First Aid training, and 3D CAD skills.
