The Company
This company is a multi-award-winning creative design and production studio specialising in immersive environments and experiential spaces. It works across live events, brand activations, and commercial interiors, delivering end-to-end solutions - from concept development and 3D design through to fabrication, installation, and on-site delivery. With a multidisciplinary in-house team and a fully integrated approach, the company transforms venues and spaces into bold, memorable experiences that elevate brands and captivate audiences. Its work spans global projects across events, hospitality, retail, and entertainment, combining creativity, technical expertise, and seamless execution.
The Role
Due to continued growth they are now looking for Head of Scenic Production to join their team. The role will be responsible for leading the production of scenic builds, bespoke prop fabrication, experiential activations and immersive environments for events whilst also managing the overall output of the scenic department. The broad responsibilities of the Head of Scenic role will include:
- Managing scenic projects from briefing stages to execution
- Guiding clients on feasibility of projects
- Leading project costing, timelines and implementation
- Managing effective relationships with internal departments
- Ensuring all projects are delivered to budget and managing costings
- Supervising and line managing a scenic delivery team
- Allocating projects and managing resources across the team
- Implementing processes to ensure a safe working environment
- Ensuring quality control across the output of the whole scenic department
The Candidate
We are looking for candidates with proven high level project delivery experience across build projects ideally from within an event environment however backgrounds within theatrical, immersive experience, retail fit out, museum or attraction and hospitality fit out environments will also be considered. Candidates must have strong knowledge of materials and build processes as well as experience delivering large scale, complex fabrications and managing project commercials. As the Head of Scenic Production is a department lead position, we are looking for an individual who either has proven experience in leadership or an experienced individual who is ready to take the next step in their career into this level of role.
