This company is a highly professional, global conference business that specializes in the production of B2B conferences, workshops, and masterclasses in a variety of corporate sectors. Trusted specialists in their sectors, they are well known and responsible for creating leading events with hot topics, interactive sessions, and engaging insights.

Currently in an exciting period of expansion with new event launches, a 70% increase in revenue over the last 2 years, and a solid team, now is the perfect time to join!

THE ROLE

Due to business growth and team expansion, an exciting position has become available for Head of Delegate Sales to manage the thriving delegate sales team. Working directly alongside the MD & Sales Director and being part of the SLT team, you will have direct input into the commercial success of the business!

This is a broad role that includes duties such as:

  1. Attaining sales growth by managing the performance of the delegate sales team in line with agreed KPIs, i.e., sales, recruitment, and market expansion targets.
  2. Monitoring career growth and development of the delegate sales team by encouraging internal promotion, mentorship, and coaching of the team members.
  3. Generating sales whilst displaying to the team how to exceed targets.
  4. Development of the team through IDPs, coaching, and training.
  5. Monitoring activity of the team, by conducting staff onboarding to identify training gaps and ensure the team undergoes appropriate training that equips them with relevant skills required to undertake their day-to-day duties.
  6. Responsibility for implementing the sales strategy set month on month.
  7. Growing delegate sales volume through critically analyzing sales performance and preparing periodic sales reports.
  8. Working with the Sales Director to source new candidates and carrying out stage one interviews.
  9. Working with the Marketing team to ensure all marketing initiatives are aligned towards driving sales and lead generation.

THE CANDIDATE

Candidates must have a proven background in paid delegate revenue and selling paid delegate tickets. You will also need at least 2 years’ experience in a leadership position in delegate sales.
