Chester Full-Time On-site
L

Contract until October 2028

Hybrid working:

If you have built the infrastructure, coordinated the suppliers and kept complex multi-site events running smoothly, this is a role that puts all of that together at serious scale.

A unique opportunity to work across a major sporting event right here in the UK!

  • Multi-stadium portfolio ownership across a major UK programme
  • High-visibility sports event delivery on your CV
  • Clear route to venue manager as the programme matures
  • Hands-on leadership of supplier and contractor teams at scale

The Company

This is a specialist sports event operator with more than twenty years in the business, delivering turnkey solutions across sales, production, accommodation and transport for some of football's most watched occasions. The Events Technical & Operations Manager role sits at the core of what they do, responsible for bringing together premium environments, temporary infrastructure and operational logistics across multiple sites. Ideas get backed, ownership is real, and the programme ahead is the most ambitious they have run.

The Role

The Events Technical & Operations Manager is a broad operational leadership role, pulling together people, contractors, suppliers and logistics across a major multi-venue UK programme from pre-event planning through to final handover and reinstatement.

  • Coordinate build and dismantle of premium infrastructure across multiple venues
  • Manage temporary village builds and greenfield overlay structures
  • Oversee supplier and contractor networks throughout the full delivery cycle
  • Conduct site inspections, handovers and readiness checks across all venues
  • Provide on-site troubleshooting and out-of-hours support during live events
  • Gather requirements across internal departments and translate into operational delivery
  • Monitor on-site teams and venue staff during live operations
  • Maintain risk assessments, health and safety documentation and logistical plans

The Candidate

The right Events Technical & Operations Manager will have delivered large-scale or multi-site events, coordinating across supplier and contractor networks, managing on-site teams and keeping complex moving parts aligned under pressure.

A background in outdoor or mass participation events, temporary infrastructure or multi-venue logistics is beneficial but not essential. What matters most is a broad operational mindset, confidence bringing different workstreams together and a genuine appetite for ownership at this level.

A major multi-venue programme, a defined progression route and a role timed to land at exactly the right moment in the programme's growth.
