HYBRID / REMOTE WORKING + UNCAPPED COMMISSION

A rare opportunity for a commercially driven individual to step into a high-impact role with a quietly brilliant event technology business.

  • Work with a premium, highly respected technical supplier
  • Strong commission potential with a flexible approach to structure
  • Opportunity to raise the profile of a business delivering major UK and international events
  • Join a stable, well-regarded team with long-term clients and high-end kit

THE COMPANY

This well-established technical event supplier delivers high-end video solutions for a wide range of corporate events, conferences, exhibitions and touring productions. With a substantial in-house inventory and a strong technical delivery team, they support agencies on complex, high-profile projects across the UK and internationally. Despite delivering for some household-name clients and major productions, the business has historically relied on reputation and repeat work rather than proactive sales. With ambitious plans to change that, they are now investing in growth and visibility.

THE ROLE

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for increasing market presence, strengthening agency relationships and generating new business across the live events sector. This is a proactive, outward-facing role focused on relationship-led sales rather than technical specification.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the primary Business Development Manager for the events division
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with event agencies
  • Identifying and converting new business opportunities
  • Attending industry events and networking to raise brand awareness
  • Working closely with internal project and technical teams
  • Taking briefs, supporting pitches and securing new work
  • Feeding market insight back into senior leadership

This position would suit a Business Development Manager who enjoys being out in the market, opening doors and building long-term commercial partnerships.

THE CANDIDATE

We are looking to speak with an ambitious Business Development Manager who has experience working with agencies within the events industry. A strong network and natural relationship-building skills are key, alongside a genuine understanding of how event agencies operate. Technical expertise is not essential, as delivery is supported by an experienced internal team, but prior exposure to AV, production or event technology environments would be beneficial. This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Development Manager who wants autonomy, visibility and the chance to make a real impact.

In return, this role offers the chance to join a respected business at an exciting stage of growth, with strong earning potential, high-quality clients and a supportive internal culture. It’s an ideal move for a Business Development Manager looking to elevate both their career and a brand within the events industry.
