Job Description
Hybrid working: 3 days in office
Brand activations at major festivals, global sales conferences, product launches and experiential programmes for household-name brands. This is the calibre of work the team delivers, and the Event Project and Operations Team Lead sits at the top of it. A boutique creative agency, a close-knit senior team, and a genuinely dual-focus role that balances strategic operations with hands-on project leadership.
- Senior leadership role shaping a talented project team of nine
- Portfolio spanning brand experiential, global conferences and live activations
- Blue-chip client roster with long-standing, repeat relationships
- Flexibility and time in lieu for site and weekend work
- 25 days leave per year,
- Values-driven culture where people stay and progress
The Company
This is a boutique independent brand experience agency with a track record built over more than fifteen years. The work spans large-scale B2B conferences, brand activations, product launches and international programmes, for clients who expect creative ambition and operational precision in equal measure. The team is small, senior and highly capable, and people tend to stay once they find their footing here.
The Role
The Event Project and Operations Team Lead is a newly defined senior position, created to provide clear leadership across both the project management function and the operational infrastructure that supports it, reporting directly to the Managing Partner.
- Lead, develop and performance-manage a project team across all seniority levels
- Drive project management best practice and quality standards across the agency
- Oversee resource planning, capacity management and project allocation
- Manage commercial performance, including timesheets and billing oversight
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding and office operations
- Collaborate with the Head of Production and Executive Producer on delivery
- Own the wellbeing and professional development of all direct reports
The Candidate
The right person for the Event Project and Operations Team Lead is an experienced live event professional who has led and developed project teams, not just managed projects. You will have a strong track record in project management best practice, resource and capacity planning, and the commercial acumen to manage delivery against budget and timeline.
A background in B2B conference or award show production, brand activation or experiential marketing would be beneficial but is not essential, as would experience delivering international programmes. What matters most is the ability to lead a mixed-experience team with confidence, create the conditions for others to do their best work, and hold the operational detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.
Strong scope, a team worth investing in, and work that sits well on any CV. Applications from candidates with the right background to step into the Event Project and Operations Team Lead position are being reviewed now, so get yours across before this one moves on.
