The Role

Reporting into the Executive Creative Director, the 2D Design Director will lead the graphic design discipline across large-scale event programmes and experiential marketing campaigns. A broad and hands-on role responsibilities include:

  • Setting creative direction for 2D and graphic design across major event programmes
  • Developing design systems and experiential playbooks for brand consistency at scale
  • Supporting more junior members of the team
  • Collaborating with 3D and digital directors to deliver integrated event design solutions
  • Acting as senior client-facing design consultant, translating brand strategy into live experiences

The Candidate

Candidates must have a strong background in 2D design, underpinned by extensive experience within experiential marketing or live events. The successful candidate will bring a portfolio that showcases creativity at scale, demonstrating expertise in leading graphic design across large-scale live events and experiential campaigns. Candidates will have experience developing design systems and experiential playbooks, alongside the confidence to lead client-facing design consultations and present creative concepts to senior stakeholders. Experience working on tier-one technology or corporate accounts, as well as a portfolio spanning sports activations or international EMEA projects, would be advantageous, it is not essential. Above all, they are looking for someone with the ambition and vision to step into a role with genuine strategic influence. In return, the 2D Design Director will find genuine creative autonomy and event design work that reaches international audiences.
