The Company
A boutique venue-finding and events agency with a strong inbound pipeline and a broad client base spanning blue-chip corporates and national associations. The founders are hands-on without being prescriptive, staff retention is strong, and the business is now hiring a Head of Events to build the structure to support its next phase of growth.
The Role
As Head of Events, you will lead a small team of event consultants, own the full events offering across corporate and association clients, and work closely with sales, marketing and operations to maximise every opportunity.
- Lead and mentor the events team, driving delivery standards
- Oversee event management from enquiry and proposal through to delivery
- Manage and grow client relationships across corporate and association accounts
- Create and deliver creative event pitches at all client levels
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Identify upsell opportunities and work with the wider team to convert them
- Contribute to broader business strategy at a company level
- Manage event technology platforms including apps and registration sites
The Candidate
You will have a solid agency or corporate event management background, with experience managing projects, budgets and client relationships end to end, alongside some experience of mentoring or managing others.
Familiarity with event management platforms and quoting software is essential. A background in association or conference events is beneficial but not essential. What matters most is commercial awareness, client confidence and the leadership instinct to bring a team with you.
