THE ROLE
The Senior Workday Analyst – Compensation & Benefits will be responsible for configuring, optimizing, and maintaining Workday’s Compensation and Benefits functional areas in our Workday environment. The analyst will partner closely with Global HR, Compensation, and Benefits teams to ensure Workday supports accurate, efficient, and compliant processes in all markets, while delivering a seamless employee experience.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
- Configure and maintain Workday Compensation and Benefits modules, including base pay, merit, bonus, allowances, and benefits plans.
- Support annual compensation review cycles and open enrollment processes, ensuring accurate configuration and data integrity.
- Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
- Review and audit EIBs that have been created or submitted to the team to ensure data accuracy before load to Production.
- Check Analyst work for errors and make recommendations on best practice configuration.
- Lead projects or module rollouts and ensure all enhancements meet current high-level of quality while balancing end-user experience with practical administrative upkeep.
- Continually look for ways to automate or improve the administrative load of Compensation and Benefits areas by researching Workday Community and implementing the strongest strategies that suit our business.
- Create reports and/or modify existing reports to meet business needs.
- Troubleshoot errors raised to the Workday Support Team; serve as a Tier 2/Tier 3 expert when the Tier 1 support is unable to answer or solve a query.
- Create documentation of repeatable configuration processes.
- Partner with Workday Support and Training team to deliver change management strategies to divisional HR teams.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
- Experience with Workday HCM configuration, specifically in the Compensation and Benefits functional areas (3 years minimum).
- Workday Certification, a plus; Report Writer training, a must.
- Strong understanding of Workday business processes, security, eligibility rules, and calculated fields.
- Comfortable with EIBs and simple RaaS integrations.
- Sees Workday as a tapestry of separate pieces that weave together.
- Strong attention to detail; able to spot the needle in the haystack.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and demonstrate a high level of accuracy while managing a large volume of work.
- Able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through on work assignments with minimal supervision.
- Critical thinking skills and an ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.
- Ability to exercise discretion, initiative, and good judgment.
