About Live Nation: The Live Nation Digital Tech Team (LNDT) drives the fan experience across 36 international Live Nation sites, covering 59 countries and 33 languages. We are responsible for the online face of the business and help fans discover and buy tickets.
The Job: This role involves working in an agile software engineering team, covering the complete lifecycle of development activities from planning to delivery. Ensuring efficiency, reliability and quality of all components and features developed as well as quick response to requirements changes.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Writing reliable and maintainable code that conforms to our development standards
- Using TDD to drive your code design
- Design, develop, and maintain relational database structures and schemas
- Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures and views
- Using appropriate design patterns
- Using defensive coding to minimize errors and security issues
- Deploying to the cloud through AWS
- Developing Websites & APIs for the Live Nation platform
- Collaborating with the product team to write quality user stories
- Writing automated tests for continuous delivery (ATDD)
- Run code reviews and merge requests
- Clean coding (OOP, KISS, DRY, YAGNI)
- Providing on-call 24/7 support on a rota basis and may occasionally be required to work out of hours
You:
- Proven years of development in Core/SQL
- Have knowledge of Databricks or similar data warehouse technologies
- Enjoy writing clean maintainable code
- Have a good understanding of SOLID principles
- Like working in an agile environment
- Cooperate with colleagues, communicate clearly and adapt to change
- Are a creative problem solver and enjoy technical challenges
