Our Global IT function is a critical enabler of this operation — delivering technology infrastructure, enterprise services, and innovation across every region we operate in.
Role Overview
The VP, International IT Engagement and M&A Integrations is a senior leadership role within Live Nation's Global IT department, serving as the primary operational and strategic interface for all International IT activity. This individual acts as the Business Point of Contact (BPOC) for regional business and IT escalations, IT service performance, and new business engagements (M&As), while providing direct support to the Global Head of IT Operations across strategic initiatives, budgeting, and resource management. With a broad international remit spanning EMEA, APAC, Latin America, and beyond, this role requires a seasoned IT leader who can navigate complex, multi-regional environments, drive operational excellence, and lead with credibility at both an executive and local team level.
Key Responsibilities
- IT Operations Leadership & Service Excellence
- Serve as the Business Point of Contact (BPOC) for all International business and IT escalations, ensuring issues are triaged, communicated, and resolved in alignment with global SLAs and business expectations.
- Provide hands‑on oversight and strategic support to regional and local IT teams across international markets, ensuring consistent delivery of IT services.
- Help drive local Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) outcomes, implementing measurement frameworks, reviewing feedback, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as the primary escalation point between regional business stakeholders and Global IT leadership, ensuring visibility and accountability across service tiers.
- Support to Global Head of IT Operations
- Function as a key support and trusted advisor to the Global Head of IT Operations, contributing to organisational strategy, roadmap planning, and executive‑level communications.
- Assist with the development and management of the IT budget, including resource planning, vendor management, capital expenditure approvals, and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Support headcount and resourcing decisions across the local portfolio, working with HR and regional leaders to ensure teams are appropriately structured and skilled.
- Contribute to the preparation of board‑level and executive IT reporting across KPIs, service performance, project status, and risk.
- Mergers, Acquisitions & New Business Integration
- Lead the IT workstream for global M&A integrations, acting as the primary IT interface for new acquisitions and business entities entering the Live Nation portfolio.
- Oversee the IT integration playbooks, ensuring newly acquired businesses are onboarded to Live Nation's global platforms, policies, and standards in a structured and timely manner.
- Act as the first point of contact for new business ventures across international markets, assessing IT readiness, identifying gaps, and defining integration roadmaps.
- Collaborate with Corporate Development, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure IT due diligence is completed effectively during M&A processes.
- Compliance, Risk & Governance
- Serve as the main IT interface with Live Nation's Compliance function, ensuring IT operations adhere to applicable regulatory requirements, data protection legislation (including GDPR and regional equivalents), and internal governance standards.
- Work closely with the Group Data Protection Officer, Legal, and Risk teams to ensure IT policies and controls are operationally embedded across international regions.
- Oversee IT risk registers and remediation plans for international operations, escalating material risks to senior leadership as appropriate.
- Global IT Leadership & Community
- Organise, chair, and drive the agenda for Global IT Leaders Conferences and international IT forums, fostering a cohesive global IT community and enabling knowledge sharing across regions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international IT leaders, ensuring alignment between local execution and global strategy.
- Champion Live Nation's global IT standards, tooling, and ways of working across international markets, balancing standardisation with appropriate regional flexibility.
- Represent International IT in global technology steering groups, business transformation programmes, and cross‑functional initiatives.
Experience & Qualifications
- Essential
- Significant senior IT leadership experience, with a demonstrable track record of managing IT operations across multiple international regions simultaneously.
- Prior experience at VP, Director, or equivalent level within a complex, multi‑site, multi‑country IT environment.
- Proven experience leading IT workstreams within M&A transactions, including pre‑deal due diligence, integration planning, and post‑merger execution.
- Strong background in IT service management (ITSM), including CSAT ownership, escalation management, and SLA governance.
- Experience as a business‑facing technology leader, comfortable operating as a senior point of contact for non‑technical business stakeholders.
- Sound commercial acumen with experience managing sizeable IT budgets across international operations.
- Deep understanding of IT compliance and regulatory requirements in international contexts, including data protection and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Desirable
- Experience working within the live entertainment, hospitality, venues, or media/content industries.
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms and tooling deployed within Live Nation's environment (e.g., ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, Azure, SAP).
- ITIL, PMP, or equivalent professional certifications.
- MBA or equivalent business qualification.
- Experience working with or reporting into a Group CIO or CTO function within a large, publicly listed organisation.
Skills & Personal Attributes
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills — able to engage credibly from local IT engineers through to C‑suite executives and Board‑level audiences.
- Strong communicator with the ability to translate complex technical subjects into clear, business‑relevant language.
- Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities across time zones and cultures simultaneously.
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to build high‑performing, geographically dispersed teams.
- Commercially minded, with a focus on value delivery, cost discipline, and operational performance.
- Resilient and decisive under pressure, particularly during high‑stakes escalations or rapid M&A integrations.
- Culturally aware and adaptable, with experience navigating diverse international business environments.
- Genuine passion for technology as an enabler of business growth and customer experience.
