The Director, Communications plays a key role in delivering proactive communications for Live Nation and Ticketmaster across the UK and EMEA, developing year‑round storytelling, strategic media engagement and campaign activity that helps shape how our brands show up externally across all markets where we have a presence.
Working closely with the Senior Director, Communications, this role will help bring compelling narratives to life across media channels, supporting stories that elevate our voice in the industry, highlight our people and business, and engage key audiences across national, business, entertainment and cultural media. The Director will support the proactive communications strategy, manage key elements of the storytelling calendar, lead day‑to‑day campaign delivery, and contribute to media monitoring, reporting and insight.
This role will support all markets where Live Nation and Ticketmaster have a presence to identify, shape and amplify locally relevant stories with regional impact. It will work closely with Corporate Communications, Public Affairs, Marketing, Social and wider internal teams to identify story opportunities and ensure proactive communications are aligned with wider business priorities.

- Proven experience in strategic communications, brand storytelling, corporate communications or editorial/media relations within a regional or multi‑market environment.
- Strong background in crafting narratives and placing stories with top‑tier media.
- Skilled at media engagement and developing long‑term journalist relationships, not just short‑term coverage wins.
- Excellent writing and editorial skills, with the ability to shape compelling, on‑brand copy that resonates across audiences.
- Good understanding of media monitoring tools, reporting metrics and how to evaluate PR performance.
- Understanding of how social media trends, cultural conversation and audience insight can inform proactive communications.
- Experience working in‑house or in agency for high‑profile consumer brands, ideally in entertainment, music, tech, culture or live events.

What The Role Includes
- Support the development and delivery of proactive storytelling strategy for Live Nation and Ticketmaster across UK and EMEA, acting as a central resource for local market storytelling and PR opportunities.
- Manage and maintain the storytelling calendar, ensuring it reflects business priorities, cultural moments, media trends and relevant external opportunities.
- Develop, pitch and place media stories that highlight our business, leadership, people, purpose and role in live entertainment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with national, business, entertainment, culture and consumer media, beyond trade press.
- Lead day‑to‑day delivery of proactive media campaigns, working with internal teams across EMEA to gather information, shape narratives and secure coverage.
- Draft and edit proactive communications materials, including pitches, briefing notes, messaging, statements, Q&As and supporting copy.
- Work with the Senior Director to identify opportunities from media monitoring, social listening, cultural trends and business activity.
- Contribute to media monitoring, analysis and reporting for the wider Communications team, tracking impact, sentiment and opportunity.
- Work collaboratively with Corporate Communications and Public Affairs teams to align messaging and ensure consistency across reactive, proactive and stakeholder communications.
- Act as a key liaison with internal teams across all EMEA markets where we have a presence to surface stories, identify communications opportunities and connect business activity to external narratives.
- Support campaign planning around major announcements, partnerships, leadership activity, industry moments and cultural opportunities.
- Provide clear updates and recommendations to the Senior Director, Communications on proactive opportunities, media interest and campaign progress.
