Do you enjoy sharing a laugh, preparing traditional meals and providing patient, reassuring care?
We are looking for a kind, experienced and proactive Live-In Carer to support a gentleman in Taunton over Christmas and New Year. This placement combines practical care with the companionship and emotional support that help someone feel comfortable in their own home.
About the Gentleman
Our client is a car enthusiast with a good sense of humour who loves companionship. He would appreciate a carer who enjoys conversation, takes an interest in his passions and brings a calm, friendly presence to his day.
He requires assistance with personal care, daily activities and transfers, alongside a carer who is confident providing catheter care.
Your support will include:
- Personal care and assistance with daily activities, maintaining dignity and respecting his preferences.
- Assistance with transfers and moving and handling, following the agreed care arrangements.
- Preparing traditional, home-cooked meals.
- Companionship, conversation and emotional support.
- Patient encouragement and reassurance throughout daily routines.
The Right Carer
We would love to hear from a dementia-trained live-in carer who is confident with catheter care, moving and handling, and cooking.
You should be proactive, calm and patient, able to offer emotional support and genuinely enjoy getting to know the person you care for.
A shared interest in cars could provide plenty to talk about, but kindness, attentiveness and the right care skills matter most.
Driving is essential for this placement.
