Do you enjoy cooking alongside your client, sharing a meal and helping someone feel more confident in their own home?
We are looking for a kind, supportive and reassuring Live-In Carer to support a wonderful lady in Falmouth. She values her independence and wants a carer who will offer patient encouragement and practical help without taking over.
This is a lovely opportunity for someone who enjoys meaningful companionship, shared mealtimes and helping a client remain involved in everyday life.
About the Client
Our client is keen to regain her confidence while maintaining as much independence as possible. Knowing someone is nearby to support her when needed provides important reassurance.
She has her own downstairs living space and mobilises around the house using a Zimmer frame. A wheelchair is used when required, and she needs support with mobility and transfers inside and outside the home.
Cooking remains something she really enjoys. Preparing food and eating together are important parts of the companionship she would like from her carer.
How You’ll Help
Your role will include:
- Personal care and support with daily living.
- Medication support.
- Assistance with mobility and transfers.
- Reassurance and encouragement to help rebuild confidence.
- Preparing and cooking meals together, encouraging the client’s involvement.
- Sharing mealtimes, conversation and companionship.
The focus is on providing the right level of support while respecting her choices and helping her continue doing things for herself.

This placement would suit a carer who sees preparing a meal as an opportunity to involve their client, enjoy a conversation and spend meaningful time together.
We are looking for someone experienced in live-in care, patient, compassionate and encouraging, who understands the importance of offering reassurance without taking away independence.
A driver with their own car is preferred, but driving is not essential for this placement.
