Social Media Manager — Live Events & Festivals

Reading (One day a week in the office) · Full-time · £32,000–£40,000 DOE

Our client is one of the UK's most exciting live events businesses — outdoor music festivals, a summer concert series and a large-scale winter light trail running across multiple cities. They're looking for a Social Media Manager to own the digital presence across the whole portfolio.

This is a hands‑on content role. You'll plan and create content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X and LinkedIn, run the content calendar around ticket launches and lineup announcements, manage the community and DMs, work with a paid social specialist on campaigns that actually sell tickets, and get stuck into influencer and partnership outreach. Best part: you'll be on the ground at event days capturing real‑time content and being part of the action.

You'll be shooting, editing, writing and posting yourself, not just scheduling other people's work. If you've run social for an events brand, venue, festival or hospitality business and want your content seen by tens of thousands of attendees, this is a good one.

What they're after

  • Proven social media experience for a brand, events company or agency
  • A genuine content creator — you shoot, edit and write, not just schedule
  • Strong across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X and LinkedIn, and what works on each
  • Comfortable with paid social campaigns and confident reading the analytics
  • Happy to work some evenings and weekends around live event days
  • Able to get to the Reading office one day a week

The top of the range is for candidates who can show high-quality content production in events and/or hospitality.
