JOB PURPOSE
To help create a friendly, welcoming, caring environment for customers of Dewars Centre.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for creating and maintaining the desired image of Dewars Centre through a welcoming, friendly approach to all customers.
- Operate the point of sale till system in reception, issuing receipts for various activities.
- Carry out cash handling duties, taking monies and giving change to customers for admission to the centre.
- Receive and process credit cards and cheques.
- Take bookings for the facilities and all classes within the Facility.
- Sell items available for resale in the reception area.
- Keep and maintain a stock control of resale items at reception.
- Deal with enquiries from the public, both in person and on the telephone.
- Provide information on programming and promotional events within the centre and Live Active Leisure.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in and around the Facility at all times.
Other
- Assist with clerical duties as necessary.
Health and Safety
- Comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and all supplementary legislation.
- Liaise with Live Active Leisure maintenance team and other agencies to ensure that the Centre provides a safe, quality environment at all times.
Training
- Attend regular staff training sessions, be they held in-house or externally.
General
- Ensure you are physically fit to carry out your duties at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as may be required.
